Helambu or Helmu is name of a region at the northern end of the Malemchi Khola valley. Helambu is derived from the local words for potato (He) and radish (Labu), the two principle upland crops in that area. Helambu trekking lies just to the north of Kathmandu at maximum elevation of 3510 meters. It region is inhabited by the Sherpa people. However, the Sherpas of Helambu observe different culture and lifestyle than the Sherpa’s of Khumbu region.

This is a good trek for people who don't have much time in Nepal. It is a 7 days long trek which starts in Kathmandu itself, but can be completed in as little as 5–6 days too. The normal trailhead starts off at Sundarijal and goes past Chisopani, Hyolmo, Kutumsang, Magin Goth, Tharepati, Malemchigaun, Nakote and Hyolmo, Tarke Gyang. After which you have the option of two roads one is the footpath via Sermathang or the bus route via Talamarang. The beautiful terraced landscapes and the rustic villages allure many tourists in the region. The trekkers crossing the Lauribina Pass (4681m) return to Kathmandu via the Helambu too. 
 
Helambu trekking can be operates in tea house /Lodge basic. If the clients interest full board camping, we are ready to share our experience with full support of our team. The Tea houses are neat and clean with prepare hot meals. If given itinerary is not suitable for you, we design another itinerary for doing Helambu short treks as per your desire and holidays. Day 05: Trek from Kutumsang trek to Thari pati(3650m.), O/N Tea House/Lodge
Day 06: Trek from Thari pati trek to Melamchi Gaon (2640m.), O/N Tea House/Lodge
Day 07: Trek from Melamchi Gaontrek  to Tarkeghyang (2743m.), O/N Tea House/Lodge
Day 08: Trek from Tarkeghyang trek to Shermathang (2621m.), O/N Tea House/Lodge
Day 09: Trek from Shermathang trek to Melamchi Pul Bazaar (846m.), O/N Tea House/Lodge
Day 10: Drive to Kathmandu, O/N Hotel
