Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff then transfer to the Hotel. Kathmandu is the colorful of Nepal, a fascinating blend of rational architecture and symbols of the twentieth century. It’s artistic and cultural heritages are evident where ornately carried balconies mingle with beautiful shrines and temples. If you have time, we recommend that you check out Durbar square, home to the palace of Kumari Devi, considered to be a living goddess. It is also worth the climb to visit Swayambhunath the monkey temple. Explore the network of street Markets and ally Bazaars and witness the burning Ghats at PashupatiNath. For those with a few extra days in Kathmandu, the neighboring towns of Patan and Bhaktapur are well worth a visit too.
Early morning flight from Tribhuvan International Airport (Domestic) Kathmandu to Tenzing Hillary Airport, Lukla. Upon arrival at the airport, your guide will brief you on the day trek, as well as introduce you to your porters. While your Sherpas sort out and load your trekking equipment, you have time to explore Lukla. After finishing breakfast, proceed from Lukla to Khumbu, head north, past a Chorten with praying wheels and join the main tail at Choplung (2696m) in less than one hour. They proceed from their head north crossing the Thado Khola (2554m) with the awesome trekking peak Kusum Khanguru (6483m) at its head. To reach Phakding (2640m), 1.30 hours from Chuplung or almost 3.30 hours from Lukla, overnight at Hotel.
To cross the west bank (right) of the Dudh koshi river, continue through blue pine and rhododendron forests, pass a settlement of metalworker (Tok Tok), village of Banker (2905m) with a small lodge, see view of Mt. Thamserku (6856m) 1 hour. In the short while cross to the east (left) bank and climb up through Chumowa, cross the Khansar Khola to reach Mondzo (2835m). Enter Sagarmatha national park here, check your permit. Descend in a cleft to the west (right) bank of Dudh Kosi on a suspension bridge to reach Jorsule (2774m) 30 minutes. This is the last village before Namche Bazar. We take lunch here & proceed to cross Dudh Kosi (Bhote Kosi) again to the left side & again to cross the main Dudh Kosi, climb up till to Namche Bazaar (3440m), proceed in pine forest. First view of Mt. Everest between Lhotse & Nuptse reaches 2 and half hours from Jorsule, overnight at Hotel.
Today is a rest day, however, we should do some activities such as to climb Syangboche airport, visit Sherpa home in khumjung/Khunde including Adman Hilary School or view from Everest view point Hotel 2hr. Namche bazaar has many officials or offices, including army base camp and bank. Namche used to be a trading center, where grain from the south was exchanged for salt from Tibet, and it remains now a trading center. Every Saturday is market day. It is headquarter of Sagarmatha National park (SNP) & Sagarmatha pollution controlled Project (SPCP). Here is the Sherpa Museum & monasteries too. Overnight Namche Bazaar.
Today, we start early, the trail climbs steeply out of the valley through rhododendron forest, juniper and large conifers start to appear as the elevation increases, making the trekking beautiful in spring. The trail passes through Durbindanda, Photse Tanga and summer settlements. The views of AmaDablam, Khumbi La and Tawache are magnificent throughout the day. Overnight at the Guesthouse.
The trail climbs a ridge for an excellent view both down the valley to Kengtega and up towards Cho Oyu and descends to a river and again climbs steep to the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpa glacier. We will reach Machherma by early noon. After lunch, we can climb over the feather of Machherma for acclimatization and return to the hotel. Overnight at the Guesthouse.
Today the trek takes us to one of our final destinations, Gokyo (4790m). We will start at 7.30 Am, passing through some basic tea shops and meet the first lake, second and third lake where there is a small settlement called Gokyo. We had a late lunch in Gokyo. Our hotel is near the Lake. We will make this camp our base for 2 nights as we will have a couple of sightseeing trips around Gokyo valley, overnight at Guesthouse.
Today, early in the morning we climbed up to the top of Gokyo Ri at an elevation of 5483 meters, ample rewards to one attempt on this trip. There are stunning views of the supper Gokyo valley, the massive Ngozumpa Glacier and an incredible panoramic view of the whole Khumbu Himalayas, such as giants as Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and Gychung Kang can be seen. Those who explore the glacier and Gokyo peak are rewarded. This day we have acclimatization and after noon back to the Hotel. Overnight at Guesthouse, with breakfast, lunch and dinner included with hot drinks.
Start early in the morning after breakfast, follow the right side of Gokyo Lake and start climbing up. There is some rock climbing before the top, but the trekking path is very wide and steps. Nowadays, the Yak also carries the load over Renjola Pass in spring and autumn season. From the top 5540m you can see excellent views from Mt Everest to Makalu. After the pass continues down to the first lake, there are some steps and then gradually flat passing through the pasture and steeply down to Lymrung where we have lunch and walk down to Marlung one hour's more from Lunrung, 8 to 10 hours, Overnight at the Lodge.
Today is a short day trek to Thame so we start around 8 -9 O'clock. All the trekking is going gradually down. We will pass the stop place and some Chotan. The landscape and Mountain View are nice for pictures. After 10 O'clock, the wind comes. After your arrival in Thame 3820m 3.30 hours, we will bring you to the Monastery over the Cave. The monastery is very appealing to see and is one of the oldest monasteries in this area, Overnight Lodge.
Today we also have a short trek to Namche Bazaar around 4 hours so our lunch in Namche Bazaar after our arrival. The trekking brings you a little down to cross Bhote Kosi and the following alpine forest and the small Sherpa settlement called Thamo. You can see the huge hydroelectricity project which powers the Namche, Khumjung and Khunde valleys. It is also interesting to explore.
Finally, we return to Lukla where the trek began, enjoying time to relax and last dinner in Mountain, overnight at Guesthouse
Early morning flight back to Kathmandu, ending your trip and free shopping.
Last minute, transfer to the airport for your onward journey or next trip.
