Cholatse peak Climbing

On Request / Per person

Trip Overview

Cholatse is a mountain in the Everest region of the Nepalese Himalaya. Cholatse peak (6440m) is connected to Taboche peak (6,501m) by a long ridge.

Cho la tse means in Tibetan 'cho' is lake, 'la' is pass, and 'tse' is peak so Cholatse means literally "Lake Pass peak"

Cholatse was first climbed via the southwest ridge on April 22, 1982 by Vern Clevenger, Galen Rowell, John Roskelley, Bill O'Connor and Peter Hackett.

The challenging South West Ridge of Cholatse is a hidden gem of the Himalaya and a solid mountaineering objective for experienced climbers. Asian Hiking Team’s itinerary start from Lukla trekking all the way to Gokyo valley. We have one acclimatization rest day in Gokyo and climb Gokyo Ri then heading to Thangna. From Thangna to base camp is around 4-5 hours trekking. We fix camp I and Camp II than push the summit.
