Pumori Peak Expedition

On Request / Per person

Trip Overview

Pumori is the part of Mahalangur range which lie in the border of Nepal and Tibet, China. It is 8 km away from Mt. Everest. Pumori is in providence 1, Solukhumbu district, Rural Municipality, Khumbu Pasang Lhamu. The Caravan route length is 51.2KM through Lukla and Climbing route length is 2.7KM.

Pumori peak is one of the most iconic and well-known mountains in the Himalayas. Rising over 7,000 meters high, this imposing peak is visible from many surrounding towns and cities, providing a constant reminder of its presence to anyone who lives nearby. Despite relatively easy access from the South Base Camp, Pumori still boasts a reputation as a challenging expedition for climbers due to its rocky slopes. Yet provides with the spectacular panoramic views from atop and also offers unparalleled rewards.
The caravan routes are flight to Lukla and start trekking to Namache Bazar. A one day acclimatization rest day in Namche then continues trek to Tengboche, Pangboche, Dingboche, Lobuje and Pumori base camp. From base camp we fix the advance camp, Camp I, Camp II, Camp III and push to the summit.

The easiest route is graded class 3, although with significant avalanche danger. Pumori was first climbed on May 17, 1962, by Gerhard Lenser on a German-Swiss expedition.

Wilderness motion had a fantastic expedition with you this October!
Namaste Gentlemen!!!
expedition have been more than pleased with the services Asian Hiking Team has given me over the last 3 years. Wilderness motion had a fantastic expedition with you this October! It really was 'top-notch' - and I cannot thank you all enough for the quality of service that we received throughout the planning and expedition. I am so glad that we worked together again. The mountains and the people particularly those of Asian Hiking Team made the trip so extremely special. We were blessed by some quite amazing weather conditions - that enabled us to see the very best of the Khumbu Valley. Thank you Kul for your amazing support and patience in the Lobuche and Pumori Expedition.
Take Care.
