Kongde Ri Peak Climbing

On Request / Per person

Trip Overview

Kongde Ri (someone said Kwongde Ri) is a trekking peak in the Himalaya of eastern Nepal. Kongde Ri is located four km west of Namche Bazaar.

Kongde Ri, first summited in 1975 is a multi-summit peak and is steep and difficult. It can be scaled by both the south and north faces.

Asian Hiking Team recommend itinerary flight to Lukla and three days trekking ascending to Kongde base camp at an altitude of 4700m. From the Kongde Peak base camp, you climb up through some glaciers and steep rocky faces to approach the peak's summit.

The summit panorama extends across the Khumbu, from Ama Dablam and Makalu in the East to Everest and Cho Oyu, and includes the spectacular Rolwaling peaks, to the northwest. Since Kongde peak has been open for climbing, numerous mountaineers successfully climbed this peak.

Superb trip!!
Superb trip!!
I´m a Brazilian guy and went hiking in Nepal back in 2003 and was fortunate enough to meet Suman, the best Sherpa you can ever dream of, not only because he´s very experienced and explain all the culture of the Nepalis people for us, but also because he´s very VERY funny, a fantastic man. 10 years later, we´re still friends and my dream is to live in Nepal for 6 months as soon as I can. Have fun and open your hearts!!!
